A new year is about to begin. Seems like only yesterday that 2010 was just part of a movie title sequel. Here it is…the year 2010. No moonbases yet or flying cars but we are ready to start a fresh year full of promise and hope and perhaps many good times ahead.

On Challenger we will be celebrating the new year and will also be mapping out at least the first 6 months of 2010 during our 1st meeting of the year in a few days.

I hope you had a great holiday season thus far with family and friends. Stay warm and see you all soon.

Challenger congraulates our XO Jeffrey Victor on his promotion to Commodore!

AC submitted many comical cartoons of classic Trek figures drawn in the Peanuts style for the early issues of New Frontiers are award winning bi-monthly newsletter.

Those who knew her all hope that AC gets through this. Hearing the news this morning made me think of the many fun times AC was part of during those early years of Challenger and how she was such an important part of our formation period.

I was sad when she left the chapter and relocated to north jersey but her work life, interests and outlook on life had changed some what. It was not a bad separation and people often move on to other things in their life. AC has spent much of her time in the publishing business and left the journalist’s trade some time ago.

If more information comes in I will share it. I know only a few of us on this list even knew AC but I thought I should share the news here anyway. Please keep her in your thoughts.
