USS Challenger BBQ, July 2, 2016

Written by Laura Victor on June 4, 2016. Posted in Challenger News

The USS Challenger cordially invites our friends from around Region 7 to join us for our annual anniversary BBQ. This year our ship marks our 28th birthday, yes we are just two years away from the big three decade mark.

Our BBQ will be held on Saturday, July 2, at Joan and Matt’s house. Here are the details:  The cost is $15 CASH ONLY at the door BUT AN RSVP IS REQUIRED BY JUNE 17 so we know how much food to buy. RSVP and directions to me at beamaboard@aol.com

Included in the cost will be hot dogs, hamburgers, all the fixings, snacks, macaroni salad, cake, salads, drinks, etc. If you have food allergies, please bring your own food. We will be able to cook anything you like, if you bring it. THE $15 COST STILL APPLIES.
AGAIN, PLEASE RSVP by JUNE 17 to assure we have time to buy enough & prepare enough for everyone.

Bring a swimsuit and towel because we have a pool. PLEASE when you RSVP list any food allergies because I am preparing a lot of the food this year and I would like everyone to be able to enjoy.

My yard has limited shade and limited room under this shade. If anyone wants to bring one of those beach umbrellas that stick into the sand for extra shade, please feel free to do so!

I want to stress again the importance of bringing your own chair!  Feel free to bring your own pool toys too!

This year’s event will again be held at our Operations and Science chiefs home. They have asked us to remind everyone that they  have pets in their house and to please me mindful of that  to stay comfortable.

Hope to see you there for a fun time!
